Understand BIOS/UEFI tools, motherboard components, CPU and RAM types, PC expansion cards, and power supplies. Learn about storage devices, peripheral devices, network architecture devices, and characteristics of TCP/IP.

COMPTIA Network+ UNIT 3 & UNIT 4 (31/13/44)

Master PC connection interfaces, network cables and connectors, Wi-Fi networking standards, and internet connection types. Explore laptop components, displays, features, and mobile devices.
Prerequisite: COMPTIA Network+ UNIT 1 & UNIT 2

COMPTIA Network+ UNIT 5 & UNIT 6 (38/12/50)

Gain proficiency in managing SOHO networks, maintaining printers, and implementing troubleshooting best practices for hardware, networks, and mobile devices.
Prerequisite: COMPTIA Network+ UNIT 3 & UNIT 4

Admission Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Provide a valid photo ID and an original social security card.
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or meet Ability-to-Benefit (ATB) requirements.
  • Achieve required academic scores (Reading, Math, and Language – 7th-grade level).
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Have email access and basic computer proficiency.
  • Successfully complete the 5 Keys to Excellence course.
  • Show evidence of 6 months of professional computer-related experience or completion of a relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA A+).

Certification Requirements:

To earn a CompTIA Network+ Certification, students must:

  • Complete all required units (150 hours of training).
  • Pass the certification exam with a minimum score of 75%.
  • Demonstrate mastery of networking fundamentals and practical skills through assessments and labs.
